Born in London, the family moved to chocolate box picturesque Devon when Jo was an infant. Her musicality came initially via classical youth orchestras before the allure of Aretha and others ignited a passion for R&B inspired vocals. Harman was also much influenced by her Fathers diverse vinyl record collection from the 'golden age of music' which so informs her own diverse writing style.
